My name is Samuel Chalmers. I am a Front End Developer based in Melbourne, Australia. I specialize in HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript based web solutions. I'm passionate about the web and our interactions with it. I love challenging myself with new technologies and techniques that help me create great user experiences. This site was made using Middleman(a static site generator based on Sinatra), Sass(SCSS), Compass, Typekit, a customised version of the HTML5 Boilerplate, good ole jQuery, a responsive gridsystem, and a whole lot of love.
About me
I've been lucky enough to work in some great agencies for some great clients.
I began my career in developemnt studying at Otago University in New Zealand, where I completed a BA in Multimedia Arts and Philosophy, I then continued to Post Graduate level studying in web design and developement. I started my career in the UK as a freelance web designer and developer in Birmingham, working to maintain good client relationships. In 2006 I began with Big Communications one of the largest design firms outside of London as a web developer working for clients such as Miele, Lucozade and Samsung. I currently work at reactive media in Fitzroy, Melbourne. I've been really lucky to work with some fantastic clients on some really exciting projects here are just some of the clients I have had the priviledge of working with.
